HIGHLIGHTS

Kristyn is an experienced Speech-Language Therapist and graduate of Stellenbosch University, with a strong clinical background in paediatric communication, developmental and learning difficulties, neurodevelopmental conditions, and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). Her experience spans hospitals, rehabilitation centres, mainstream and special-needs schools, private practice and home-based intervention across South Africa, Malawi and Mozambique. She has extensive experience assessing and supporting children with speech and language delays, articulation and phonological difficulties, learning challenges, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy and other complex developmental needs, including children who require high-tech AAC.

At Eleveight, Kristyn brings a practical, child-centred and highly individualized approach to communication intervention, with a particular understanding of the relationship between communication, learning, independence and participation. Having worked extensively within schools and alongside children with diverse learning and developmental needs, she collaborates closely with families, educators and Eleveight's multidisciplinary team to help each child develop the tools they need to communicate effectively and confidently—whether through speech, language development, AAC, or a combination of approaches.
